Since 2005, viewers have tuned in to see crab fishermen braving dangerous waters for their line of work. However, even with its latest season finishing up, fans are already wondering if they’ll get to see more of the show.

On the show’s Reddit page, a user identified as “Infinite-Strength365” asked if there would be a 21st season and the end of the current season. Notably, the user was curious who would be returning for another season, highlighting Jake in particular.

As the post wrote, “Woulda been nice to see Jake come in on time, to offload… especially since he had the largest quota to fill, in 2024?? (At least for the boats they were highlighting this year!!) Maybe even see/hear a convo [between] him & his new boss to see if he was happy enough to keep him as captain next year?? IMO, it would be great to see him figure out buying the F/V Saga for next year!!” The user also wrote, “I also hope that [Captain] Keith and Wild Bill are ok enough to continue fishing!! Godspeed Gentlemen!”

Fans Were Divided On The Fate Of The Show

For the time being, fans are unsure about the fate of the shows. One user wrote, “Oh they will never give up on seas of our lives. I hope we see wild bill [because] i hope he’s doing ok.”

However, some were less hopeful. As one wrote in response, “We never know. I mean, Nat Geo canceled Wicked Tuna. Didn’t think that would happen.”

Some fans weren’t too happy with the series’ latest episodes, suggesting they weren’t too worried about the show’s fate. As one user shared, “Such an easy concept, film the captain for a bit, film the deckhands doing work and messing around. Instead, we see contrived drama and story lines. I stopped watching a few seasons ago but I pot check episodes because I follow this thread. Guess their formula is working on me.”

Another user had a special reason to think they hadn’t seen the last of the show. As they shared, “I saw some cameramen around town and spotted Keith last night, so i imagine [there’s] gonna be a new season.”
