Cornelia Marie is returning to Deadliest Catch
Deadliest Catch season 20 will include the return of the Cornelia Marie
The Time Bandit, which has been on every season since season 2 and is captained by Johnathan Hillstrand and Andy Hillstrand, will not be on season 20. Johnathan Hillstrand supposedly retired at the end of last season, but he has been fishing this season
Last year, Discovery told me that the Cornelia Marie could be featured in a future season, and that’s obviously happened, with Josh Harris returning as co-captain with Casey McManus. A press release seems to suggest that the absence from the show was an absence from fishing: “But after a year away, does Josh still have what it takes to command a vessel on the Bering Sea?”

Also featured this season, besides the Cornelia Marie:
- The Saga, captained by Jake Anderson, who “completely rebuilt the boat with $750,000 worth of updates, and will begin his season floating on an ocean of debt,” according to Discovery.
- The Northwestern, on which Sig Hansen “is sick and tired of people telling him how he should live after his near-fatal heart attack,” and he and his “brother Edgar, plan to dominate the seas on their own—fleet be damned.”
- The Wizard and Captain Keith Colburn, who faces “a problem,” Discovery says, that “could put Keith’s season—and life—in jeopardy.”
- The Summer Bay, on which Captain Wild Bill “faces one problem after another as he struggles to make a profit,” Discovery says. Those problems include a deckhand falling off the boat in a storm.
- The Brenna A, whose captain Sean Dwyer “buys up a piece of Wild Bill’s quota out from under him, almost doubling his potential payout for the year.”
