90 Day Fiance

Angela claims that Michael earned over $75k this month from TLC and donations from fans

Angela claims that Michael earned over $75k this month from TLC and donations from fans

The drama between 90 Day Fiance stars Angela Deem and her estranged Nigerian husband, Michael Ilesanmi, has taken a new turn. Angela is now embroiled in a bitter campaign against Michael and won’t stop until he gets deported. Her team of supporters, who call themselves fans, are aggressively trying to tarnish Michael’s reputation using social media. However, the truth behind their claims remains murky, making it difficult to discern who is telling the truth, whether it’s Team Michael or Team Angela.

Angela’s so-called friends and fans are basically “r*cist rednecks” and small-time bloggers who seem to be using her for clout and exposure. These individuals have been vocal about their disdain for Michael ever since he escaped from Angela’s home in Georgia in February 2024. They have labeled Michael a scammer, accusing him of exploiting the widespread dislike for Angela among “90 Day Fiancé” fans to solicit donations. Angela’s toxic behavior and abusive nature, well-documented on the show, have made her an easy target for hate and criticism, which Michael and his supporters have capitalized on.

Angela’s team of bloggers has made several damaging claims about Michael. They insist that the Nigerian is doing well and doesn’t need the money he has been raising for legal fees. According to them, Michael is living a lavish lifestyle in Texas, complete with designer clothes, gold watches, and diamond chains, and he even bought himself a car. They suggest that if Michael truly needed money, he could easily ask his American-Nigerian friends for help or sell some of his luxury items.

Celebrity blogger John Yates, a known supporter of Angela, has added fuel to the fire. Yates, who has spent considerable time with Angela, claims to have insider information about Michael’s scamming ways. He alleges that TLC recently changed its payment structure and are now paying cast members for the entire season upfront. According to Yates, Michael received $40,000 from TLC three weeks ago, which all went directly into his personal bank account, while Angela got paid another $40.000 for being part of the same show.

Yates also claims that Michael is living rent-free with his Nigerian friends and making a decent income from donations during his weekly TikTok live sessions. He argues that the $35,000 Michael raised from fans for legal fees was unnecessary and that the campaign should have ended once it reached its $25,000 goal. Instead, the donations have continued to pour in, surpassing $36,000.

It becomes increasingly more challenging for the show fans to separate facts from fiction, with neither cast member’s teams providing official legal documents or receipts to prove their claims. Whether you are on Team Angela or Team Michael, it’s hard to ignore that Angela has done more harmful things to Michael in the past eight years than he has done to her. Both deserve rest and should step away from this scripted reality  TV show for years before joining another 90-Day Fiancé spin-off.
