90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Statler Riley is having an online feud with one of the franchise’s favorite cast members, Armando Rubio. Statler from, Irving, Texas, was introduced in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6 with her girlfriend, Dempsey Wilkinson, from Darlington, England. Statler was to see Dempsey in person for the first time on the show and had already made plans to move in with her without Dempsey’s knowledge. After a few ups and downs, Dempsey accepted Statler’s idea, but instead of relocating to the UK, Statler agreed to a road trip with Dempsey.

Statler currently stars in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way with Dempsey, but fans are already aware of the couple’s story’s outcome in season 6. Meanwhile, Statler manages to keep herself in the news by calling out her co-stars on social media and getting into online arguments with them. So far, Statler has locked horns with Rob Warne, Mary Demasu-ay and Brandan Denuccio, Shekinah Garner, and Angela Deem. Statler also went after Armando, but it appears Armando was able to put Statler in her place.

Statler Pitched The “90 Day House” Idea

Statler’s Idea Was Rejected By Fans

In January 2024, Statler came up with a genius idea that could have changed the future of 90 Day Fiancé as a franchise. Statler is blunt and honest in her approach while posting her Instagram Stories and talks to fans as if they were her friends. She shared a few Stories about a cool idea she had for a 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. Reddit user Happylife97 happened to screenshot some of these Stories and share them with fellow 90 Day Fiancé viewers on a subreddit. They revealed that Statler was pitching a show similar to Big Brother involving 90DF cast members.

“Idea- a show where 90 Day alum live in a house for a summer w/ one being voted off every week & replaced by somebody new.”

Statler added how the cast mates would get no therapy like 90 Day: The Last Resort. However, there would be a lot of drinks and drama. People wrote to Statler to ask her about the imaginary show. She envisioned it having individual cast members and not couples. She saw Gino being there from day one and getting into the “shenanigans” and Jasmine could be brought in weeks later so she could lose her mind over it. Couples that are no longer together have to mingle with their ex. There would be “unlimited potential for drama every week.”

Moreover, to give it a fun spin, fans could also get to vote, which in turn, would increase the ratings of the show and get some well-deserved “social media chatter.” She called the idea “win/win.” Statler received questions from fans asking her how to make this show a reality. She told them to go and comment on the official 90 Day Fiancé account pages on social media and to request it. “They listen to the fans!” she added. Redditors didn’t respond well to Statler’s idea. They thought it was “terrible” and not original. “It’s called Big Brother,” someone added.

Statler Got Into An Argument With Armando On IG

Statler Was Offended After Watching The Tell All Preview

However, Statler thinks that the network picked up on her idea when they revealed the plot of the upcoming 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Tell All. Blogger Shabooty posted a clip of the upcoming Tell All’s preview and wrote that the network rented an Airbnb mansion and everyone “got drunk” and slept the night there together so they could go into the Tell All filled with even more drama. Statler showed up in the comments section to write, “They STOLE my 90 Day House idea. Big surprise there.” Statler received several replies, but one of them was truly shocking.

Armando Destroyed Statler With His Comments

Armando Didn’t Like Statler Dragging Him For No Reason

Armando said something about having spoken to Statler about the topic “weeks ago” and mentioned how Statler did not get his point. He wondered if it had to do with English being his second language and wanted to see if Statler could “get it this time around.” Armando wrote, “My point was a guest house (and yes, more non-Statler ideas coming soon) are things the network has had brainstormed, planned & lined up.” Armando tried to explain that the idea wasn’t borrowed from Statler but was created “Looooong, way loooong” before Statler even became a part of the 90DF world.

Armando called Statler’s idea “basic.” He isn’t sure why she’s obsessed with getting some kind of credit for ideas that weren’t even hers and had been in the works for a while, not, not just by the 90 Day Fiancé team, but also done by other networks. He repeated himself by stating a 90 Day Fiancé guest house has never been an “out of the world” idea. He spoke about the long list of creative directors who are “2 steps ahead of us all” because it’s their job. “THEY are the ones getting paid, not you,” he stressed.

Did Statler Borrow The Guest House Idea From Fans?

Armando’s Statements Raise The Right Questions

90 Day Fiancé's Kenny & Armando, with broken hearts

Armando implied that the idea of a 90 Day Fiancé house existed among fan groups much before Statler decided to talk about it on social media. He said that he has seen “numerous” fans of the show asking for a guest house on social media, again, before Statler was even around. He added that Statler should “trust” him when he says that the source for this idea wasn’t Statler. But hey, in your words sucks to suck right? Lol,” Armando laughed. However, Statler told him she didn’t read what he said and asked her to stop humiliating her.

Kenny Gives Armando A Helping Hand

Statler said that Armando gets away with everything he wants because he’s been labeled “America’s sweetheart” because he was the “first queer dude w/ a sob story.” She said she sees through him and always has. Armando wrote that Statler herself used her past as a sob story for sympathy and would use it in her new season too. “She talks about integrity, badmouths the show (which she’s entitled to don’t get me wrong) but yet is back for another season though,” Armando added. He said that it was Statler who was posting random Stories about him out of the blue.

Kenneth Niedermeier slammed Statler in the comments thread by posting, “You didn’t know that staler also invented the internet.” He told Statler that she has the worst attitude and nothing but negativity and that she is constantly rude and tries to bring people down. He asked Statler to be a “big girl” and learn to be a better person who lifts people up and doesn’t tear them down. Kenny added how Statler looks like a “very sad person” who deserves a “much-needed hug.

“Armando is everything that is kind and good , you should try and be more like an Armando,” Kenny added.

Statler Has Already Spoiled Her 90 Day Fiancé Storyline

Statler Confirmed Her Split With Dempsey

Statler is a newcomer in the franchise and has a long way to go before she gets labeled as a fan favorite. Her future in the franchise after 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way remains a mystery since Statler and Dempsey have already split and Statler is the one who’s spoiled her own storyline. In June 2024, Statler claimed (via Shabooty) that Dempsey had been cheating on her with one of her friends. She accused Dempsey of living rent-free in a van that Statler rented and called her ex-girlfriend a “British Gypsy” and “scam artist.”
