90 Day Fiance’s Charlotte sets fire to wedding dress after being told Johan ‘cheated’ by producers
Charlotte and Johan have been sharing their love story on 90 Day Fiance UK. However, she found out Johan had allegedly cheated on her and ended up burning her wedding dress in anger.
Evidence such as dates, photos and texts were relayed to Charlotte by a member of the 90 Day Fiance UK production crew. They were first alerted to the news after someone emailed the crew while filming.
Charlotte told Johan ‘cheated’ on her with another woman by producers
Charlotte, a 34-year-old from Southampton, took a family holiday to the Dominican Republic to meet hotel entertainer, Johan, 21, who lives there. She ended up salsa dancing with him the whole time!
As her holiday ended, Johan took a leap of faith and asked Charlotte to be his girlfriend. Charlotte continued chatting with Johan while in the UK and navigated a long-distance relationship.
She ended up flying out again to see him that same year. Charlotte was shocked and delighted when Johan popped the question… just as the couple were sheltering from a raging hurricane!
However, just after they got married in the Dominican Republic, she found out Johan has been allegedly having a relationship with someone else, who emailed the 90 Day Fiancé UK production team.
“We know it’s true as we’ve seen evidence – dates, photos, texts,” they told her in the footage. She ended up calling him to say it feels like “someone’s ripped her heart out” after finding out about the affair.
Although he didn’t say much, at first Johan denied it on the other end of the conversation before Charlotte shouted back ‘yes you do [have a girlfriend]’.
She ‘gave everything to be with him’
Now legally married, Charlotte returned to Southampton while Johan waits to be approved to move to the UK. But the bad news left her saying, “I gave everything to be with him.”
She added, “I don’t know how someone can be so hurtful. He took my kindness for weakness.” Charlotte was visited by her friend Maria, before the pair had a bonfire in the garden. She told Maria Johan denied ‘everything’ and that he says the ‘evidence’ is wrong.

She met Johan at a hotel resort in the Dominican Republic, and after appearing on series three of the Discovery+ programme, they were finally able to marry after Charlotte was left waiting outside the registry office.
After avoiding trouble in paradise on their wedding day, Charlotte returned to Southampton – only to be told by a member of the production crew that they had some “bad news” to tell her.
Heard speaking off camera, they told Charlotte: “Someone has emailed to let us know they’ve been having a relationship with Johan, while you were with him.
“We know it’s true as we’ve seen evidence – dates, photos, texts.”
After a heated phone call with Johan, who remained more than 4,350 miles away in the Dominican Republic after the wedding while waiting for a visa to live in the UK to be approved, Charlotte said: “It’s like someone’s ripped my heart out.
“I gave everything to be with him, I don’t know how someone can be so hurtful. He took my kindness for weakness.”
Coming to terms with the revelation, Charlotte was visited by her friend Maria, before the pair had a bonfire in the garden, where Charlotte proceeded to set fire to her wedding dress and wedding invitation.
Maria said: “I feel so angry for Charlotte, she deserves to be happy.”
The latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé aired on Discovery+ on Monday with viewers set to find out whether Charlotte will forgive Johan.
