Statler Riley from 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way goes into debt for Dempsey Wilkinson. She takes out a loan and works on the road to afford van life. However, the same can’t be said for her other half.

90 Day Fiance: Statler Riley Takes Out Loan for Love

Statler Riley is giving up her life in America to live in a van with Dempsey Wilkinson overseas. She struggles with the idea of leaving everything behind and not having a home to go back to. Her life is now on the road. And that means she can’t bring much of her belongings with her.

However, securing a van to live in wasn’t easy for the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way cast member. She had to take out a $20,000 loan, but that still wasn’t enough. So, she thought about selling her car. But in the end, she kept the car just in case her life on the road didn’t work out. She would have the money from her car to help her get back on her feet.

Yet, Statler was able to get an advance from her work to pay for the rest of the van. She works remotely, so she is able to keep her job and work on the road.

Statler Works While Dempsey Wilkinson Plays?

Statler talks to her friend, Natali, about the move. She tells her friend that the van they bought is expensive. She explains that she took out a loan to be able to afford it. However, she adds that Dempsey sold her caravan for her portion of the van. Yet, she reveals that she is still contributing less than what she is.

The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way cast member tells Natali that she will be working while on the road. So, her friend wants to know what Dempsey will do to contribute. She explains that she gave up her job and will contribute by making dinner.

Statler doesn’t like that she will be the only one bringing in the cash. She would prefer to have double the income. But she agreed to living in a van on the road because she wants to be with the love of her life. However, she is jealous. Yet, she doesn’t want to be resentful towards Dempsey because while she is working, her other half will be “free as a bird and able to explore Europe.”

Statler Riley’s friend, Natali, worries that she is taking on everything financially while Dempsey Wilkinson gets to “kick back and relax.” She fears that since the TLC celeb lacks so much love, she is just “so grateful that someone will move into a van with” her that she is willing to overlook a lot. She thinks her friend will put aside common sense “for a chance at love.”

Natali tells the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way castmate that she doesn’t have to earn someone’s love by financially caring for them. Statler knows she has to really think about what she is doing. She doesn’t want to make the same mistakes she’s made in previous relationships.
