’90 Day Fiance’ Alum Faces Possible 20-Year Prison Sentence
90 Day Fiance alums Michael Eloshway and Aziza debuted on Season 1 of the TLC show. As he was just found guilty of possessing sexual content of children being abused, (CSAM), he could face up to 20 years in prison.
90 Day Fiance Alum Was Found Guilty Of CSAM
Plenty of TLC stars ended up behind bars at one time or another, but it seems that Michael Eloshway committed one of the worst crimes. Like Josh Duggar, he possessed CSAM content. However, he also went a step further and was receiving and distributing the content. Considering that Josh from 19 Kids and Counting went to prison for 12 years, it’s possible Aziza’s man could get more.
90 Day Fiance viewers saw that Aziza was much younger than Mike. Naturally, TLC fans didn’t like that. However, it’s unfortunate that he liked people even younger. They married and she moved to Cleveland, Ohio to be with him. Actually, they had a child in 2019.
TLC Star Arrested Last Year
The news that Michael was arrested last year arrived in June when he pleaded not guilty to possession of CSAM content. According to court records, he possessed over 7K pictures and videos. And some of that included child sexual assault. The TLC alum decided to go to trial and now he’s been found guilty.
90 Day Fiance fans will probably wonder what will happen to Aziza who came from Volgograd in Russia. On July 22, the District Court in Cleveland started the trial, and on July 24, Michael Eloshway was found guilty of two offenses and it took the jury less than two hours to reach that decision.
A Long Prison Term For The TLC Alum?
Cleveland.com reported that Aziza was in the court to hear the verdict, as was Michael Eloshway’s mom, who cried. The outlet also noted that his prison term could be as much as “17 years and 5 months to 20 years.” Often, if people go to trial in cases like this, the prison sentence can be quite high.
It’s not clear why the 90 Day Fiance star went to trial because, in early documents, the FBI claimed that Michael admitted during an interview that he downloaded porn. However, his defense seemed to be that he unknowingly had kids in the content. His case was remanded for sentencing until October 29. Until then, he will be allowed out on bond.
What are your thoughts about Michael Eloshway being found guilty of possessing CSAM content? He also received and distributed some of it via file-sharing. So, he might get more prison time than Josh Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting. Do you hope they throw the book at him?
