What Happened To Lidia Morel After The Family Chantel Season 5?
Lidia Morel from The Family Chantel often seems to have a heart of stone, and it’s time to share information about her life after the show’s final season. Pedro Jimeno’s marriage with Chantel Everett ended – its death throes were shown onscreen during the series’ fifth installment, and Pedro is still a “bad boy”. When the relationship failed, Lidia and her daughter Nicole Jimeno probably cracked the champagne. For years, they’d done all they could to wreak havoc and tear the young couple apart.
Forget about Cruella de Vil and Maleficent…who needs evil Disney “queens” when there’s The Family Chantel star, Lidia?
Right from the start, Lidia treated the beautiful and naive Chantel like Cinderella. She put her down, and so did her daughter, Nicole. Together, this shady “tag team” seemed to want complete carnage. They wouldn’t stop until Pedro was free of his American wife and in-laws. In fact, Lidia’s one of the most infamous monsters-in-law in the franchise. Forget about Cruella de Vil and Maleficent…who needs evil Disney “queens” when there’s The Family Chantel star, Lidia?
Lidia Morel Appeared On 90 Day: Love In Paradise Season 3
She Couldn’t Make Things Work With Scott Wern
Lidia left a trail of destruction before moving on to 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise, where she dabbled in romance with Scott Wern. During The Family Chantel season 5, years of family interference brought the good-looking couple, Pedro and Chantel, down. From the start, there were red flags. Someone close to Pedro’s family told Chantel that an evil plan had been hatched – to match Pedro with an American woman for the sake of cash and a Green Card.
Chantel, who was in love, couldn’t bring herself to believe it.
Lidia, who is five years older than Scott (they’re both in their 50s), met him on the Internet. He decided to travel to her home country, the Domnican Republic, to see if they could make their bond stronger in the “real world.” They couldn’t, but Lidia seems fine in 2024. She’s been posting a lot online and is keeping busy. Her most exciting IG highlights will be shared later in this article.
As for Chantel, she learned her lesson. After tangling with Lidia, Nicole and Pedro for years, she had to accept that her marriage was over. Before his exit and after, Pedro was scarily cold, which seemed to freak Chantel out. She was heartbroken and forced to confront a man who was like a block of ice, as seen in the money-minded meetup scene shown in the clip above.
Lidia disrespected Chantel continually and Pedro let it happen. Nicole planted seeds of doubt, letting Chantel know that Pedro was close to Nicole’s best friend, Coraima Morla. Pedro left Chantel, refusing to try and mend their marriage via couples counseling. He wanted out so badly that he was willing to give up reality fame to achieve that goal. Most people would think twice before basically killing a cash cow like The Family Chantel. He didn’t.
Lidia got a taste of her own medicine on 90 Day Fiancé: Love In Paradise. Things weren’t working for Lidia and Scott, and Lidia’s daughter wasn’t happy with how her mother was being treated. Nicole morphed into the equivalent of an angry Everett family member, acting like Karen and Thomas.
Nicole unloaded on Scott on 90 Day: Love In Paradise, telling him off for being mean to her mother. While Nicole often seems like a vile human being, in this instance, she was quite protective. As usual, she didn’t mince words. After telling Scott he was dishonest, she insulted him with an admittedly funny “sugar man” diss, as seen below:
“You want to be a sugar man when you have 50 years or more? You know the only reason, a young woman can be interested in you is for money,” she told him. “Believe me, I’m young and I know that. You pay for pleasure of a woman.”
