My 600-lb Life Season 10 featured the story of Nathan Prater. He appeared on the show along with his wife, Amber. They were both struggling with severe obesity. Nathan began his weight loss journey at 607 pounds. Meanwhile, Amber was over 500 lbs. Dr. Now helped the My 600-lb Life stars to work towards their goals. He gave them a strict diet program, which helped them get qualified for bariatric surgery. Nathan eventually dropped 250 pounds with the help of a 1,200-calorie diet. Amber didn’t share how much weight she had lost. But they promised Dr. Now to continue living a healthy lifestyle behind cameras.
Nathan has been in touch with the fans after their episode. Many of his posts today are about his religious activities with Amber. The My 600-lb Life star has yet to share his current weight, but his latest photo with Amber in March shows they’re looking a lot healthier. Nathan Prater likes to share Bible quotes on social media as well. He’s currently a Theatre Director at Palestine Independent School District. Nathan’s FB page also states he and Amber live in Texas today.
In September, Amber took to Facebook to share the award Nathan received from his job. According to the My 600-lb Life star, her husband just received an excellence award for his theater education work. “This goes to show your hardwork, dedication and love the students you teach and direct truly pays off in multiple ways,” she added. Just like Nathan, Amber also remains discreet about her weight loss journey. But she likes to share healthy recipes online, indicating she’s still on the right path.
