‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Where Does The Cast Film Confessionals?
‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Where Does The Cast Film Confessionals?
Confessionals are staples of any modern reality television show. TLC shows heavily rely on them to keep stories moving along. On top of that, it gives cast members a chance to share how they really feel about certain situations — especially if they don’t share their feelings in the moment. On 1000-Lb Sisters, the family members often sit on large, plush chairs or sofas while speaking to the camera.
However, fans noticed something peculiar about the 1000-Lb Sisters confessionals that don’t exactly line up with the rest of the series. Read on to see what viewers have to say.
1000-Lb Sisters Fans Know Confessionals Aren’t Filmed In Anyone’s House
Long-time 1000-Lb Sisters viewers know the family members don’t have the cleanest homes. Even this season, there is a scene in Amy Slaton’s kitchen where she cooks shrimp alfredo with chocolate chips in a filthy kitchen.
And yet the background used in confessionals appears to be immaculate. So where exactly do they film?
That’s a question viewers certainly wanted to know.
“Whose house do they film the confessionals in? Not to be mean but it’s too clean to belong to the cast,” one 1000-Lb Sisters viewer wrote on Reddit.
This isn’t something that TLC ever addresses about the show, but many viewers seemed to understand the network’s trick. According to most viewers, TLC uses a greenscreen to shoot the confessionals.
Comments included:
- “Not sure whose house it is, but definitely not green screen and not a backdrop.”
- “Based on other shows…. It’s fake. They do it in a studio, print off a background picture to hang behind them.”
- “Good god, common sense says it’s def. not any of their homes. Next….lol”
- “Producer here. It seems like a set on a sound stage to me where they can control the audio/lighting/etc.. that or a rental off peer space.”
The Family Shuffles Their Living Situation
This season, Tammy Slaton is once again looking for a new place to live. After leaving rehab, she rented a house owned by her older sister, Amanda Halterman. But after a big blowout with Amanda, Tammy decided to move out. Chris Combs offered to let her rent a home he just purchased, but it’s going to need a lot of renovations before it’s ready for anyone to live in.
As a result, Chris invited Tammy to live with him. Can the siblings make this living arrangement work? Or will more drama ensue? Only time will tell.
