Hot News 1000lb Sisters: Ex-husband returns to fight for custody after AMY’s arrest!
In a shocking development following Amy Slaton’s recent arrest for drug possession, her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, has returned to the scene to fight for custody of their children. With Amy’s legal troubles piling up, Michael is reportedly determined to gain full custody, arguing that the children’s safety and well-being are now at risk. This unexpected legal battle could further complicate Amy’s already tumultuous situation as she faces charges and public scrutiny.
According to court documents obtained by the U.S. Sun, Amy and her 40-year-old ex finalised their divorce on September 6, 2023. Which came after Michael filed for dissolution of marriage with children against Amy on March 13.
The outlet reports that there was a note with the court documents, which read: “Marital settlement agreement is approved and incorporated by reference as if set forth verbatim and the parties are ordered to obey the terms thereof.”
Michael was in fact the first to file for divorce, with him doing so in March, just one month after Amy filed domestic violence claims against him, which have now been dropped. This was then followed by a drawn-out custody battle that has now resulted in the couple sharing a parenting schedule.
The couple are said to have met in high school and had reportedly been in a long-term relationship for several years before getting married. Getting hitched in 2019, the couple then welcomed two children together before their bitter split and custody battle ensued.
